“Home Body” es una escultura creada por Iria do Castelo. Fué seleccionada junto con varios de sus dibujos para participar en la exposición itinerante “Ilustradas: una mirada a la creación femenina en la ilustración contemporánea” comisariada por Matilde Rodriguez que giró a lo largo de tres años por diferentes capitales del mundo gracias a la colaboración de Instituto Cervantes. La muestra se estrenó en el Instituto Cervantes de Nueva York, y tras pasar por Chicago, volvió a Europa visitando Manchester, Paris, Bucarest, Timisoara, Praga o Munich entre otros destinos como Rabat en Marruecos o Dakar en Senegal.

El trabajo de Iria do Castelo comprende escultura, obra gráfica, dibujo e instalación. Se ha expuesto en museos de arte contemporáneo como el MAC de A Coruña o el MACRO Testaccio de Roma, también en diferentes galerías e instituciones en Rotterdam, México DF, New Delhi, Hong Kong, Chicago o Barcelona. Recientemente ha formado parte de la exposición “Gráfica Española Contemporánea “ dentro de la VIII Triennial of Graphic Art Sofía (Bulgaria) e “Ilustradas: a look at female creation in contemporary ilustration” que giró a lo largo de dos años por las principales capitales de Europa y USA.

“Home Body” is the title of this sculpture created by Iria do Castelo. It was selected along with several of her drawings to participate in the exhibition ‘Ilustradas: a look at female creation in contemporary illustration’ curated by Matilde Rodriguez, which toured different capitals around the world for three years thanks to the collaboration of the Cervantes Institute. The exhibition premiered at the Instituto Cervantes in New York, and after passing through Chicago, it returned to Europe, visiting Manchester, Paris, Bucharest, Timisoara, Prague, and Munich, among other cities such as Rabat in Morocco or Dakar in Senegal.

Iria do Castelo's work encompasses sculpture, graphic art, drawing, and installation. It has been exhibited in contemporary art museums such as the MAC in A Coruña and the MACRO Testaccio in Rome, as well as in various galleries and institutions in Rotterdam, Mexico City, New Delhi, Hong Kong, Chicago, or Barcelona.
